Quoting from your text:

This widening disparity has caught the attention of the Church, which for the first time is pointing to radical Islam, rather than the actions of Israel, as the central problem facing Christians living with Muslims.

The operative word here is "radical." We have "skin heads" in this country who would have the world believe that they represent Christianity; most of us know they do not. For an entire religion to be ostracized by the world for the actions of a minority is unjust and undemocratic. How do we separate the wheat from the tares? - One at a time and very carefully. To throw the baby out with the bath sends us all into the drink.

All people have a right to defend themselves; all people need to examine whether they are comfortable living where they are in the minority. The world is getting pretty small to find places where we are not mixed in together. Murderers need to be brought to justice because they are murderers, not because they are of a particular race, religion, gender, nationality, etc. If people ban together to form a hate group, then those receiving the hatred have an obligation to defend themselves. Make no mistake, hate is hate – it knows no bounds of race, religion, gender, nationality, etc. Not all Muslims hate, and not all Christians love. Our human condition is much more complex than the labels suggested in this article/e-mail.
