Why can Muslims say whatever they want?

Reader comment on item: The Vatican Confronts Islam

Submitted by Spanky (United States), Sep 18, 2006 at 07:43

Why is it that Muslims can go around making inflammatory comments towards Christians, Jews, the West, and anyone else who does not share the same beliefs as them with impunity? But as soon as someone makes a comment about them they start rioting in the streets? Who do these backwards peoples think they are anyway?

The Pope made a statement about Muslims last week which was basically a quote from a Byzantine Emporer and they started bombing Christian Churches. Anyone who thinks that we are not in a religious war against Islam is kidding themselves. These animals kill just for the sake of killing. And if they can't find non Muslims they'll kill their own. The Pope then apologized for the comment and yet it did no good. You can't appease these worshippers. .
