More proof of Western folly

Reader comment on item: [Saudi Arabia:] Not Friend or Foe

Submitted by Bill Brent (United States), May 14, 2002 at 13:48

This excellent article provides more proof of Western folly in the decision to stand by and do nothing, in the '60s, while Arab states nationalized oil resources discovered and developed by American, British and French companies. This article provides more evidence that wealth in the hands of totalitarian regimes will eventually be turned towards evil ends.

I agree with Dick Militelo. The Saudis should be considered a foe, an enemy, not simply a rival. That the Saudi royal family is NOT now quaking in their (Gucci) boots with the knowledge that their regime is about to end is an abomination.
