Mr. Ahmadinejads comments

Reader comment on item: Iran's Final Solution Plan

Mr. Ahmadinejads comments are only the most recent and most extreme example of state supported terrorism driven by their underlying ideology of islam.

Sooner or later the world will awaken to the threat that islam really is but I fear it will take a nuclear exchange of some sort before this will happen. In the late 1930's and early 1940's, warning signs were ignjored, and Mr. Hitler became a significant problem. In addition, the commentary from muslim countries regarding Mr. Ahmadinejads comments were to say the least remarkable for their silence. This must be construed as tacit agreement w his comments by these other regimes. In other words, the militant mindset is widespread throughout the muslim world, in the ME and elsewhere. The western world could not get away with this kind of threatening rhetoric, yet the muslim world routinely gets a relatively free pass for all sorts of mayhem. It's time to accept the reality that islam is not a true religion but a violent cult and treat it and its adherents accordingly. Otherwise, the we leave future generations a horrible legacy, much, worse than global warming, rain forest depletion etc.
