Iran's Final Solution

Reader comment on item: Iran's Final Solution Plan

Submitted by Arthur Yeager (United States), Nov 2, 2005 at 11:15

I have always felt that Iran is the real enemy in the Middle-East. Further, Iran was immeasurably strengthened by our removal of Saddam Hussein negating Iraq as the mortal enemy of Iran. The difference from the earlier bellicosity is that it was taken much less seriously because of the presence of the Iraqi army on Iran's borders. Should Iran move on Israel in any major way they faced a stab in the back from Saddam.

Now, thanks to Dubya, Saddam is gone and Iran no longer has the worry of Iraq and free to do as it pleases. That is why the new threats are significantly more meaningful and worrisome.
