Muhammad was/is Islam and the Quran ... how do you erase his terrible history?

Reader comment on item: Foreword: Why Islam's Reformers are Vitally Important

Submitted by Kirby, Aug 5, 2017 at 20:36

I do not have Mr. Pipes expertise and vast knowledge, but I have a fair amount.

One would have to almost totally rewrite the Quran and either eliminate Muhammad altogether or completely revamp his own history and that of all Islam for at least 13 centuries.

The only solution was provided before the prophet was ever born - in the person of Jesus Christ, his teachings, divine nature, and vast accomplishments.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Scriptures are very malleable. If Christians can endorse homosexuality despite the Bible's strong condemnation of this practice, Muslims can likewise make profound changes to their understanding of the Koran.
