Two wrong views

It's not only a head in the sand tirade, it is an example of one of the two wrong views which prevent progress.

The first wrong view is that there's no problem at all within the world of Islam (i.e. the multi-cultural progressive view), and the second view is that all of Islam is the problem (i.e. a broad-brush populist view).

Both views serve to shut down debate and don't allow the differentiation between moderate Muslim and Islamist.
