Local newspaper "Gazet van Antwerpen" reports the city council will decide on monday to bump up the firearms present in intervention patrol-cars. They plan to purchase 35 H&K MP5 machine-pistols. The article quotes Mr Hellinckx from the Antwerpen police force: "the extra weaponry is necessary in the event that officers face heavily armed gangsters."

There's a bit of denial here talking about "gangsters" rather than terrorists. On the other hand the police does not purchase MP3-versions of "Give peace a chance" to be played in patrol-cars. They go MP5, not MP3.
