Reader comment on item: Middle East Provocations and Predictions

Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Sep 12, 2015 at 14:08

Professor, I have the following for you.

1 - Would you agree to take part in a debate, similar to the Munk debates, where earlier this year, Garry Kasparov & Anne Applebaum cleaned the floor with their opponents. You would take on Michael Ledeen, who advocates a more peaceful way to liberate Persians from the IRGC.

2 - Other than yourself, who else is capable of communicating the desirability of changing the borders in the Middle East? For I see no good cause to maintain lines on a map.

Daniel Pipes replies:

1. In theory, yes.

2. This would take some thought.
