Self segregation is saferReader comment on item: What Actually Causes American Fear of Islam and Muslims? Submitted by Safety (Canada), Feb 28, 2015 at 21:23 I have increased my online shopping and decreased my mall shopping. I try to self segrgate from Muslims for my own safety. Plus I don't have anything in common with them due to their restrictive beliefs. I also have a home theatre and avoid cinemas since if terrorists attacked I would be at a disadvantage. I advise stores and businesses to offer the online shopping and home delivery option. A cheer leading squad cancelled their meet at the west Edmonton mall citing terrorist threats. A daycare cancelled a visit to the mall. If I had kids I would enroll them in a muslim free school. I would urge Christian, Jewish and Buddhist parents to do so, even if you are not super religious, just find a private school of your own faith in one of the larger cities. As for college, find a college that has a large online component so that if there is a terror threat your student can study at a distance, online in the home or dorm or their apartment. Students should also avoid some bars and have potlucks with their friends at home. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
