Americans Do Not Fear islam or muslims

Reader comment on item: What Actually Causes American Fear of Islam and Muslims?

Submitted by Domenic Pepe (United States), Feb 16, 2015 at 12:55

Americans do not actually fear islam or muslims. Rather Americans recognize that most of the ideology of islam and its implementation through sharia law is simply incompatable with American ideas of freedom and American values such as toleration and assimilation of others. The hatred, brutality, violence and murder that islamic ideology and law incites among many muslims is not characteristic of American life and values and America's interaction with the rest of the world. Americans do not fear islam or muslims.

But we do recognize a dangerous psychopathic and sociopathic aspect of islam and many muslims. This requires Americans to be vigilant and prepared to deal with hateful aggressive murderous islamic behavior wherever it exists, and to crush and vanquish it. However, the only thing we Americans actually have to fear are the American quizling politicians who prefer to appease the lunatic islamist enemy, and refuse to even identify that islamist enemy in clear English words.
