Reader comment on item: What Actually Causes American Fear of Islam and Muslims?

Submitted by Lynn (United States), Feb 24, 2015 at 11:22

Phobia implies an unreasonable fear and steers the conversation, yet now the many eyes of the camera lens records that the fear is very reasonable and prudent. I think, though, that the most harmful aspect of the union between the West and Islam is they're working together to silence the questions and discussions about Islam and the behavior of its founder Muhammad, inferring it is against all Muslims who themselves are silenced. They are taking our words from us which we are taught is our beginning the governments and Islam is in collusion to silence.
