You're right that Muslim behavior makes more Islamophobes than all the hate and fear literature in the world. I'll add that since 9/11, I've made it a point to read the Qur'an and Hadith, and I have reached the reluctant conclusion that there is something deeply malignant at the heart of Islam. I have become more convinced that any "reformation" within Islam should not be more Qur'an, ... but a large mass of Muslims turning to the Christ of the Old and New Testaments. We've already seen Islamic "reformations" with the Ibadis, the disciples of Ibn Tatmiyyah, the Wahabbis, and the Khomeini-ites.
