'm sort of sad, for what happened to the Armenians back then.

Mash'allah he is sad

My best friend's mom was an Assyrian Christian. Her father came to this country because his whole village had been killed. She was a wonderful woman, who loved to read the Bible with people. If you would have asked her whether her family had been "massacred", "murdered" or "genocided", I don't know what word she would have used. She told me they had been "killed", if I remember rightly

The answer here is very simple. In Arabic, and Assyrians speak Arabic as well as Syriac, the Armenian Genocide as I told you before is called in Arabic مذبحة الارمن or the killing or slaughter of the Armenians

The Arabic word فناء is now used as the meaning for the word Genocide and this is why the woman translated the Arabic word Madhbaha to killing. Now do you get it?

But most damaging to your little story you are not aware that the Assyrians were also subjected to a less known Genocide by the criminal Ottomans and it is called Sayfo and I suspect that if your little story is true then the woman could very well be talking about Sayfo

Oh darn it by your very flawed logic this is not important because this crime against human beings took place more than 80 years ago
