ISIS isn't a form of Sunni Islam, it's Wahhabi Islam...

but it's still a form of Islam. Obama is being taken for a fool, but that's nothing new. People are treating Muslims as if they were one unified religious faith when in fact this is not the case. There are many kinds of Muslims - the main branches are Sunni, Shi'a, and Sufi. There are many other minor sects, and then there are the branches seen by the majority of other Muslims as heretics, One of these groups of heretics are known as Wahhabists, and they parted company with orthodox Sunni Islam in 1760: http://www.sunnah.org/articles/Wahhabiarticleedit.htm ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, and al-Qaeda are all Wahhabist organizations and they enforce the Wahhabist version of Sharia law, as does the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose connection to the Wahhabists goes back to the 1790s.
