There was an interesting interview with one of the Bali attack planners

Reader comment on item: ISIS Is Not Islamic?

Submitted by Anon. (Israel), Sep 11, 2014 at 10:11

He was (is?) on death row (in Indonesia, I think). The Western journalist accused him of cynically distorting the Islamic faith. Well, that would make anyone smile, but the accused seemed to be in exceedingly good spirits for a man waiting to be put to death. He was joyful and full of life and he patiently explained to the journalist how the Koran commands these attacks, quoting various sura. The reporter again said "this isn't true" and the attacker tried some more and finally, looked at him in genuine disbelief and asked "who do you think knows Islam better, you or me?". The reporter shut up.
