Cannot really criticize

Reader comment on item: ISIS Is Not Islamic?

Submitted by Hep0nen (Finland), Sep 14, 2014 at 07:55

Muslims cannot really criticize the actions of ISIS. Well, they can, but not on account of their faith, since ISIS is a recreation of the lifestyle of their prophet. They do what their prophet did, and since their prophet was a perfect man in _every_ respect, their actions are in accordance with islamic scripture.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Of course, Muslims can and must criticize ISIS. They should also fight it, as many are doing.

ISIS owns no monopoly of interpretation how to live in an Islamic manner.
