My dear Huma,

What you have quoted is a Meccan verse,ie when the prophet was weak, with only around 50 followers, and most of these followers, except Abu bakr were the low lifes of Mecca, ie beggars, thieves etc, ie non influential people.

But this verse was later on abrogated by the Medinan verses , which is basically to eliminate all non muslims.

This is the age of the internet, nothing can remain hidden from public scrutiny.Taqqiya and kithman are now household words in the kuffar world.
