Obscene nudity is certainly not freedom

Reader comment on item: India, the Most Pro-Israel Country
in response to reader comment: Showing your breasts is freedom??

You got me wrong, Fifi. I am responding to you because I admire your ability to discuss issues on a human basis and without resorting to circular religious arguments. You got me wrong. I was not saying that any kind of nudity indicates freedom. I was implying that when given enough freedom, even muslims behave just like everyone else and fundamentalist Islam

wins only when undue pressure is put on people by the society. By no stretch of imagination, I approve of the behavior of this Turkish-German woman. But I am also very clear about how much societal pressure I am willing to put to stop this behavior. If I have to ban women's education, cover them in garments that covers everything but their eyes, or prevent them from driving, I will stop well before I do so. Thanks for writing on this forum. Open dialog without hypocrisy is what we would like to have.
