No money should be wasted in appeasing/winning muslims

in response to reader comment: American effort at winning Indian Muslims

Dear Dr Pipes:

I am responding to the 2009 message to your site by the reader Vijay from the UK. Vijay pointed out that the US government was making efforts to win Indian muslims. This issue is not limited to the India alone. President Obama has spent a lot of effort to woo Muslims all over the world. He has done so by addressing his speeches directly to the Islamic world and by making several appointments in his cabinet to reach out to Muslims. I think no governemnt should waste any tax-payer money to woo the Islamic world for two reasons.

First, Islamic world is unwinnable. If the Islamists were truly interested in the welfare of muslims, so many muslims would not have been getting killed all over the world by Islamic terrorists. The main goal of the Islamists is expansionism and the much touted Islamic victimization at the hands of others is just an excuse to continue violence. Second, there is no reason why Islamic nations should be selected for preferential treatment when no one else is.
