It's just looking for it's benefits

Reader comment on item: India, the Most Pro-Israel Country
in response to reader comment: Why sometimes India's official stand is Pro-Palestine (Although there was no such country such as Palestine)

Submitted by Abhimanyu (India), Oct 2, 2011 at 16:31

From the first India has been a pro palestine country. In 1990's it alligned with Israel to counter pakistan. India depends a lot on muslim nations(gulf, iran , afghan). It's ready to exploit resources in Afghan soi it needs to be seen pro islamic to sustain long. The stance doesn't matter because anywy US will veto the resolution. The ties between israel and India will not be disturbed and it continues to be india's largest arms supplier. India is good at taking double stance and projecting a clean image (the same is done in the case iran and US)
