Of course Turkish Airlines is a state carrier and will have fulfill the dictates(I use the word unironically) of the government.However,as much as you or Erdogan prefer one cant put a gun to the head of the passengers and force them to fly Turkish Air in light of declining. service. They will simply take their business elsewhere and yes when its stakeholders cry fowl and bail-characters like you will be the first to howl about Islamophobia and anti Turk sentiment when that occurs.

Smoking and drinking are two different matters. Both can be bad for health but that is the individuals choice. The problem with smoking is the 2nd hand smoke can affect other passengers.

Drinking too can lead to anti social behavior for sure but in closed, confined space like an aircraft, getting away or even initiating such actions is pretty difficult.

Again no one is forcing anyone to fly El Al, if passengers crave pork they can look for another carrier.
