Is there some in the United State Constitution that restricts a person from being president based on his/ her religion?

Reader comment on item: Obama's Muslim Childhood

Submitted by Usamah (United States), Jan 31, 2013 at 21:38

If Obama was a Muslim, which he can't be, what is wrong with a Muslim running for president? As you argue that we should not trust Obama because he is some secret Muslim. Many European Americans do not trust Jews. I would question them, what wrong with a Jew person running for President of the United States. I do not have to tell you what they will say in response. I think you know very well. Just as their are good and bad among all religious groups is it fair to creat fear because of the action of a few?

I remember when I was much younger I read a great deal about Buddhism. I was really impressed by what I read and saw in many of the Buddhist I meet. When I was expose the people who were born Buddhist and who were also criminal it was hard to accept. There was no was I could believe these were really Buddhist, until a Buddhist friend asked me is I knew anything about the history of China?
