Jane: I think Mr. Pipes makes his point very clear and it couldn't be more relevant to the issue of Obama's character. If Obama is willing to lie and obfuscate his moral upbringing – and he's had a lot of outside help in that project, he truly "didn't build that image" himself, Bill Ayres and George Soros contributed to that "image building," too – then what else is he willing to lie and obfuscate about?

People like to point to symbols of presidential corruption such as Warren G. Harding or Grant, but Obama's ideology compels him to lie and make dissembling a finely-honed art, and that makes him the most scurrilous president we've ever had. And the most destructive.
