Reader comment on item: Claiming Jerusalem is in the Koran

Submitted by Ali (United States), Jan 21, 2013 at 19:45

Jerusalem is obviously not in the Quran by name. But, it's description is there.

The Verse of Masjid Al-Aqsa is immediately followed by Mubaraka. This means blessed. It only refers to the 'promised land' of Moses, and the 'Holy Land'. It either refers to Jerusalem, or some city in Palestine (Beca?)

You are right that Ibn Taymiyyah, Sheikh Al-Albani and King Abdul-Aziz didn't care one [bit] for Jerusalem.
