Intimidation is only half the problem

Yes, there are undoubtedly cases where outright intimidation is an issue to prevent things from airing or encourage bias in reportage. But most of the wounds are self inflicted. The news-people censor themselves not just out of fear, but out of mistaken alliance with the supposed downtrodden minorities. Unfortunately, these minorities will soon be minority no longer and will have a greater and greater say in broadcasting.

It will take decades, but there will come a time when they are in the majority and we are minority, then we will have our chance...

Oh, but wait, then there will be no democracy and we will just be dhimmis .
