Uh...if Muslims have not permitted any images of Mohammed, how do Muslims know that an image is Mohammed??

Reader comment on item: Admitting Censorship due to Islamist Intimidation

Submitted by DrRJP (United States), Apr 6, 2008 at 17:39

If the Danes printed the cartoon of a fat guy with a turban-bomb on his head, and there are no explicit Mohammed references or Muslim motifs, then how do they know it's a presentation of him?

Case in point: The guy in the cartoon who says, "We've run out of virgins" is not Mohammed, but I guess they take exception to the reference about their pornographic Pearly Gates, too.

Has anyone drawn disparaging cartoons of plain, old Muslims? Not mullahs Not imams. Just plain, old anti-Semitic Muslims?
