Reader comment on item: Admitting Censorship due to Islamist Intimidation

Submitted by Bill Hylton (United States), Apr 24, 2006 at 18:35

A quick look at the the Boston Phoenix's editorial content reveals a liberal bent that would not shame the New York Times, and would not be out of place in the mouth of Mr. Chairman Dean.

Thus, to me, their confession of cowardice seems at once true and false. True in that they would not dream of volunteering to replace one of the brave men or women serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. False in that they would not have published the cartoons even if they had the courage.

No doubt they would have both the courage and the inclination had the cartoons portrayed the Prince of Peace.
