To find something similar to Gaddafi in the western world, Debanjan has to go back 2000 years

Dear Dr Pipes:

Debanjan Banerjee drew a parallel between Gaddafi and a Roman King who lived 2000 years ago. Gaddafi was not a good person or anyone's friend but the savagery with which he was treated is shameful. It is an irony that Debanjan Banerjee had to go back two thousand years to find a parallel in the western world of what happened in Libya just yesterday.

And Debanjan Banerjee does not even realize that the huge 2000 years gap of makes his argument farfetched and ridiculous. The people who read his article without paying attention will get misguided.
