Seconding Nelson D' Silva's voice

Reader comment on item: Qaddafi's Ignominious End
in response to reader comment: Qaddafi

I want to once again second Nelson D' SIlva's voice about Qaddafi. The kinds of photos that I saw of Qaddafi's killing after he was captured augur an immensely sad picture of the future of Libya. The world media is reporting without any outrage -- I hope that the reports are wrong -- that Qaddafi's body is lying in a meat store. I do not know how many of the people who are handling the affairs in Libya are muslims but according the Islamic tradition a dead person's body needs to be buried within the first 24 hours of his death. The insult and revenge rendered to Qaddafi --even if he deserved every bit of it-- reflects very poorly on the people who are handling the affairs. Why no Islamic apologist saying any thing about it? Why are muslim organizations silent? Why is CAIR silent? Murder and death have lost their sombre meanings in the warring Islamist cultures. As much as we object to the acts of Islamic terrorists against unsuspecting non-muslim targets, so much we need to object to the recent happenings in Libya. Now I understand why US legal systems prohibits cruel and unusual punishments.
