Reader comment on item: Qaddafi's Ignominious End

Submitted by Michael Hanni Morcos (Canada), Oct 20, 2011 at 23:03

A major factor in the Arab Spring that could make Libya's transition a success is the Libyan people requesting Nato's Arial engagement to equalize Qaddafy's forces.Canada was the main player leading the pact from the start-Lt.Gen.Charles Bouchard headed the overall mission-U.N. approved aimed at protecting all Civillians-Now Prime Minister Harper is ready to pull out the military and start to help build Democratic Institutions for Justice ,Human Rights and Rule of Law.Canada is the farthest away of all the countries-Does not need or depend on Libyan Oil,and is renown for its Peace keeping abilities-No boots on the ground -no Canadian casualties ,in and out ;unlike its Southern neighbour in Irak,or Egypt-Canada will get the transition to a better Libya respecting Human Rights and Sanctity of Life as a priority.Thank You.
