So the requirement to recognize Israel as a Jewish state came in 2007, were they of a different faith before that?

But you know what, I think the imminent US veto is a good thing, at least it will once and for all kill any lingering hope Palestinians had for a 2 state solution. At 20% of Israel population, and growing almost 40% faster the Jews, Israel will elect an Arab prime minister in about 40 years, and then we will have a unified holy land.
