True colors of India. Really?

Dear Dr Pipes,

Your reader Naushad Omar cited economic bondage, untouchability and sex slaves as "India's dark secrets". In his effort to defend Islam, Naushad has become desparate. Crimes happen in every society and India is no exception but the difference is that in India a crime is called a crime. All the three activities cited by Naushad are illegal in India and not many modern Indians justify these activities by relying on a ancient book. We do not justify our past ills under a religious garb. So try something else Naushad. Something substantial.
