ANY astute analyst of the region, and of Turkey in particular, intuits that Daniel's assessment is correct. Reliable sources have been reporting about the police state tactics employed by Erdogan since taking power.

There is NO doubt that his party seeks the restoration of the Caliphate, hence, the demise of the military and secular rule must be squashed-at all costs.Those who prefer to place lipstick on the fantasies they have woven about 'moderate' Turkey are hallucinating.There is NO polite way to state this.It is what it is and the west-the US(under Obama this is an impossibility, he is enthralled with Erdogan...) and Israel in particular-would do well to readjust their Turkish strategies.Turkey IS gone!!
