What A Surpise!

Reader comment on item: Niqab Security Outrages at Airports

Submitted by RichardB (United Kingdom), Aug 4, 2010 at 05:14

Not surprising that was at Toronto, in view of what happened a few years ago. Accompanied by friends my wife and I were returning to England after a conference at Toronto Airport Church. After arriving at Pearson we had time to look around but our friend became extremely alarmed when she couldn't find her husband. We couldn't, of course, look beyond security gate because she had all their papers. Eventually, we had to proceed through to departure lounge - but he was already there when we arrived!! He'd simply ambled all the way through without realising he'd gone through security - and he hadn't been stopped because no-one was on duty!!

Upon his complaining to Security supervisors he was met with disbelief and full denial.

But that's all very small beer for a later occasion of extremely bad manners and rude way US Homeland Security treated my wife in her airport-provided wheelchair! So she doesn't want to visit USA ever again - only twice have we encountered polite officals in US airport. Presumably all these travelling woes are one of the 'blessings' Islam gives the world?
