Prophet (PBUH) Ayesha when she was 6 and consummated after she menstruated, which according to most reliable sources was 9 years. It was the condition of Hazrat Abu Bakr that he wait till she menstruated. It was the great noble character of our prophet that he waited that long since according to quran a man is allowed to marry and divorce a girl at any age(65.4).
