Reader comment on item: Will Geert Wilders Show His Film on the Koran[, Fitna]?

Submitted by Eric (United Kingdom), Feb 12, 2009 at 10:56

Why are we being subjected to an ever increasing ban on topics and British historical events,to suit what is claimed to be a minority group of people who we have allowed to come and stay in our country. For example some local councils no longer welcome Christmas being celebrated, in case we upset these very people. This is only one of many many points I could mention. We have experienced also Councils stopping perfectly legitimate planning applications for simple additions to one's property, but they allow Huge Mosques to be put up all over Britain. If we go to their countries of origin, we are prepared to accept the rules as they stand, so why do they not adopt the same principals. It needs films like Geert Wilders to open up the debate fully,so that all can be discussed, with total freedom of speech for both sides.
