S.N. Salleh,

To begin with I disagree withy you entirely. Islam IS a religion of violence and hate and intolerance. Deny that all you want, but we can read and we can see what Muslims around the world are doing, and have been doing for centuries, and the history of Islam is there for all of us to see. I have lived and worked in three different Islamic countries, have studied the Koran (to see why so many Muslims act as they do), and have many Muslim friends who, like you, are peaceful people, but simply and conveniently (and admittedly) ignore much of the Koran - they take the good and ignore what is bothersome and dangerous.

But if you and so many Muslims are so sick of what your fellow Muslims are doing, and if those jihadists and terrorist sympethisors are so few, than why don't you and the other billion or so Muslims rise up and do something to clean your own house? Where is this peace-loving ummah in Islam that is apparently hiding form the (supposed) tiny minority and allowing them to define your religion. Don't you understand that the rest of the world is waiting for a single leader - a Martin Luther King or Gandhi sort of figure - to appear out of the 1.5 billion of you. Out of so many people, not one - just ONE - true peaceful leader has not stepped forward to invigorate the rest of you to clean your own house and gang up on the terrorists and radicals that you supposedly hate for giving Islam a bad name.

Could it be that ...any peaceful leader could not have his - of course it couldn't be a HER in Islam - words and cause backed up by the true teachings of Islam? Come on, Salleh...the world is waiting.
