Current location for "Marriage to Saudis"Reader comment on item: Hearing on "Should the United States Do More to Help U.S. Citizens Held against Their Will in Saudi Arabia?" Submitted by John Steiner (United States), Jun 16, 2002 at 08:09 The current website which contains material relevant to women from the US marrying Saudi citizens is http://www.abcnews.go.com/sections/world/DailyNews/statemirror.htmlThis article is periodically pulled down from various websites as Dr. Pipes has noted in his testimony. Generally one can find it by searching on google using: marriage saudi embassy riyadh Because the article has been so useful, and from personal observation, is quite accurate, those who might have contact with women who are considering marriage, are advised to cut and paste the article using their own word processor. Of course, it probably will do little good, from personal experience, because daughters sometimes know much more than parents. Make sure that the daughter has a civil ceremony performed in the US prior to going, as it makes it much easier to affirm the resulting children's US citizenship. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
