Bush's flip-flops

Reader comment on item: Bush on Israel: Heartburn for All

Submitted by Irene Solnik (United States), Mar 4, 2003 at 07:48

I think double talk is the hallmark of this man. He claims to be in favor of the environment and then secretely starts drilling on Padre Island. Talks about helping education and increases mandates while cutting funding. Claims to be for women's rights and then nominates judges who have tried to overturn Roe v. Wade. The really frightening thing is (as far as Israel is concerned) he is the best thing we have going. Still it reminds me of the old rhyme "There once was a lady from Niger who smiled as she rode on the tiger. When they returned, the lady was gone and the smile on the face of the tiger." Israel is the lady. G-d help us.
