Belief in redeeming social values of Palestinans is fatally naive.

Reader comment on item: Bush on Israel: Heartburn for All

Submitted by Marty Modance (United States), Mar 6, 2003 at 00:18

The notion that the same people in Hebron, Ramallah, Jericho etc, who cheered the collapse of the Trade Centers, and simultaneously blamed the event on Israel, should be trusted to renounce terror beyond the next five minutes let alone Forever, is absolutely foolish! Both Bush and Schwartz apparently slept through the entire 7 year long Oslo "Peace Process," during which a 50,000 man army was set up for Yasser, and Arab children continued their anti-Jewish studies in Madrassa schools. As a result, Israeli civilians are being killed daily. Nothing succeeds like the failure of a bankrupt Middle East policy, doomed by its relentless appeasement of those who always consider concessions as a sign of weakness.

There will never be peace in the Middle East until Israel destroys those who figuratively danced on the remains of 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
