Who in the U.S. govt will move on this?Reader comment on item: Does Israel Need a Plan? Submitted by Mel Kusin (United States), Feb 3, 2003 at 11:21 The two best ideas were 1) U.S. officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital and 2) title this whole matter,"The Arab War Against Israel". It occurs to me that, with victory in Iraq and subsequent lessening of U.S. need to coddle Saudi Arabia, we may not be so fearful of "offending" Arab countries by moving the embassy to Jerusalem. re 2), with the Bush administration showing no reticence in creatively titling its proposals, the term "Arab war against Israel" would be the best and smartest starting point toward eventual solution of the problem. (I just wonder why I never thought of, nor has anyone else as far as I know, this so-obvious proposal before).Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
