I find Pipes' comments ...exaggerated. Being Italian, I know many people who think the same way Angelo did. Should I say that I share their views? Of course not! Can I say they have any idea of what really happens in Palestine? I wouldn't dare! Yet, it is my firm belief that raging at a dead young man is merciless. If you want to point out how false some ideologies are, well, it will be easy to do that even without sticking it to a twenty-something guy (idiot? so what, were you all wise and savvy in your twenties?).... Moreover, you can well qualify ARCI as a far-leftist NGO, but its projects abroad are merely humanitarian, and Angelo went there to meet poor people's needs. Its ideology was probably no more than a slutty dressing on a prissy girl; good were the intentions, no mater how he himself turned them. If Mr. Pipes wants to criticize someone for such views, he'd better start from a good 50 percent of the Italian politicians and mass media. Martino was got just caught in that net, so please: let him rest in peace. As far as I know, he could have been a friend of mine. (Sorry for my limping English)
