Believeable, but not likely

This sounds like a CYA report. Enough truth to make it plausible but probably not the real story. I suspect that Ahmed Chalabi and Iran orchestrated the WMD deception to get the west to bring down Saddam. (The enemy of my enemy is my friend). Their goal is to get the Sunnis out of power and build a Shiite theocracy. Saddam's issues with reality were a big help.
