Do you ever get the feeling that you'll never win an argument with someone whose answer is either 'Nazi' or 'Christian Crusades'? It's apparently the pat answer for every argument.

...I hope that every American reading this takes pride in the fact that they can invade a country

Hopefully the glorious Crusade will continue until such a time as the occupants of these country no longer suffer the oppression that forces them to flee their oppression & burden our social welfare and international aid systems so prodigiously. God bless America!

And you blame them? I would suggest you choose your words more carefully Sword of Islam, words like 'invade' and 'crusade' don't portray a pleasant image. I would also suggest you do not speak in the name of everyone, because not everyone sees things the way you seem to.

Yes, we in the West are blinded by our media, this is a fact, and the sooner we all wake up the better. Interesting comment from a Nazi, applicable to current affairs:

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

- Herman Goering (Hitler's chief deputy) at the Nuremberg trials

We are being whipped into a frenzy that we are in danger, it is our foreign policies that are endangering us - this Islamic fundementalism and terrorism is a relatively new concept - we have to ask ourselves why this is occuring. It is precisely this kind of ignorance that I am seeing on this board that is turning global public opinion against us. Mark my words, while we are involved in this mess, other countries are making their bid as the new emerging super powers. Our foreign policies will only result in our downfall. Our efforts would be better spent on building our economy.
