JustMe, I wrote to my congressman and both of my Senators asking them the exact question you posed in your post: why are we losing soldier's lives protecting the sovereignty and borders of Iraq and Afghanistan when our government refuses to protect our borders. I then reminded them that the foremost responsibility of the government was to provide for the common defense and that the U.S. military existed first and foremost to protect our borders. I told them that there can be no solution to the illegal immigration problem UNLESS they controlled that border. I think we should have the national guard down on the border to back up the border patrol. I also directed them to the Mexican separatist/supremacist websites.

What really aggravates me about the whole thing--and this is where I see the correlation to the immigration problem in places like Denmark and the rest of Europe--is that the politicians, media, and intellectual elites are selling this country down the river. The politicians are cowardly--they are worried about placating the Mexicans to get their votes and the corporations who want the cheap labor. The media is disingenuous to the extreme as they usually are. Do you ever see an expose on CNN about MECHA, LaRaza or any of these racist Mexican groups? Do you ever hear a mention of them?

And like I said, it's not an extreme fringe. When you've got 58% of Mexicans who believe that the Southwest belongs to Mexico and they don't have to obey our immigration laws because of that, it's more than "just a fringe group." It's just like being told that the Muslims who hold extremist views are just "a small minority of extremists" when we can see with our own eyes what the real truth is. Behind these groups are Socialists/Marxists who are seeking to use these people to deconstruct our culture and weaken us as a country.

I believe they've designated May 1 as their big demonstration day. Well, look at what May 1 is--it's May Day, the big "worker's day" in Communist countries. I mean, why not designate May 5, which is a Mexican holiday, as the big protest day? It's like I said, when a country allows immigration of a goup which contains a significant element with attitudes that are hostile to that host country, the outcome can't be anything but negative. We had better be very careful how we handle this immigration issue.

It's really discouraging to the average American citizen, but I guess all we can do is to keep ourselves informed and make others aware of all of the facts because you can be sure the mainstream media will not do it.
