in response to reader comment: LISTEN ALL CHRISTIANS AND NON-MUSLIMS

Everyone has an opinion on something. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Opinions are opinions - nothing more, nothing less. "Opinions are like ... - everybody has one!"

Facts are facts. A fact that can be backed up with hard evidence is worth a million opinions. This is my opinion - for what it's worth. Given that the prevailing Muslim opinion appears to be exactly the opposite to this it only counts for so much.

However, there is one incontrovertible fact that paints the entire picture at a brushstroke. Migration. Hordes of these people descend upon Europe every year. The traffic in the opposite direction is almost non-existent. This says everything. The act of emigration speaks volumes about the environment that is being left behind. One can quote scriptures or utter platitudes about the nobility of the human condition, yadda, yada, yadda. It counts for nothing other than to make people feel nice or important - whatever floats your boat!

Contrary to some opinion this pattern of immigration is not a historical trend. There are very few precedents in existence for this. European settlers in forming their outposts in the New World did so in largely unpopulated areas. They were generally emigres fleeing persecution or colonial expansionists That does not mean that they did not behave barbarically in many cases but it is a completely different phenomenon for a culture to conquer another and rebuild it in their own image or in most cases 'start from scratch' as the Europeans did and another thing entirely for members of another culture to emigrate from a failing culture to a successful civilisation and leech from it without acknowledging that the successful country that has graciously provided them with sanctuary has no obligation to compromise one iota to a cultural model that has demonstrably failed them. Oil is always cited as a motivation for aggression against them (no matter how often this has been debunked) but they have good reason to be obsessed by it. Without oil (they must regard Henry Ford and the Model T as a minor prophet) they would literally be living in mud huts.

End of story. Facts are facts.
