No special status for any religion

Reader comment on item: The Danger Within: Militant Islam in America [and Its Dreams of Domination]

Submitted by Michael M. (United States), Nov 4, 2002 at 20:28

In a country that promotes freedom of religion, and a country that was based on Christian principles, we must make sure that NO RELIGION, obtains special status or special treatment... Althought Christians are encouraged to bring others to Christ, they are not charged with the overthrow of governments. It is the goals of the Islamists that threaten our way of life. If anyone would like to live in an oppressed society, then he is free to go to one like Iran, Iraq, Yemen...

The reason for the separation of church and state has never been more clear than it is today. WAKE UP AMERICA! If my view offends anyone, that's just too bad. I want my little girl to wear what ever she wants to wear, not what a religious "leader" says she should. ..

Fundamentalist Islam will take over this country inch by inch if we don't wake up. The Islamists, unlike most Americans, can see the forest for the trees. Let's take back our country.
