Christianity teaches hate. Does it?

in response to reader comment: ISLAM and CHRISTIANITY Preach INtolerance

Dear Dr Pipes:

Your reader "deliverance" from Australia equated Islam and Christianity by implying that they both teach hate. I disagree. There are many shortcomings In today's Christianity but preaching hate is not one of them. On the other hand, Islam teaches hate as in "Bin Laden teaches hate and there is not enough opposition of Bin Laden in most of Islamic world".
