Reader comment on item: The Danger Within: Militant Islam in America [and Its Dreams of Domination]

Submitted by kerusso alethes (United States), Oct 3, 2010 at 15:12

The point of any religion is power, that is one individuals attempt to gain preeminence over another and there are only two kinds of power in the world: political and religious.

Real political power evolves to those born to royalty (Kings, Queens, Dukes, Duchesses, etc.), and secondly to those who become elected officials.

Visible religion is however the back door to power. Self appointed leaders such as Paul and Mohammed in my opinion were power hungry individuals bent on building a power base. Both have created a hierarchical structure for their adherents to follow and have partially succeeded in those aspirations.

However, true success in life is not in achieving preeminence. True success is becoming a member of the invisible congregation that Jesus established.
